That shit helps A LOT when it comes down to Paypal refunds/disputes. I’ve also had the above happen to me as well.ĭon’t do this shit to artists. I was lucky in that I didn’t spend him money yet, but it left me without funds. I’ve had this happen to me with a $350 comic :/ I had already finished it, it was full color, 6 panels and had a full bg in every panel. Was doing a art stream, it took me over 2 hours to do his inked commission, he got a refund cause ‘it took too long’ that he figured I wasn’t going to do it after I gave him the file. They’re the way to go:Īttention non-artists who commission artists: don’t fuckin do this?Īctually had someone do this to me too. You can also use this trick to show a blush on any skintone as well!Īnd if you want more references on undertones on real people, beauty blogs man. The undertones in dark skin are a little richer in colour (in fact most yellow undertones in brown skin are more of a golden undertone), so you can make that Multiply colour that’s a darker pastel yellow or red or what have you. Don’t change the layer to Screen or Luminosity, it’ll completely wash out your image. Note: Multiply layers make the colours of the layer underneath it darker, if you’re drawing someone super pale, mess around with an even lighter colour or change the opacity on the layer. Set that new layer to Multiply, and you’re done.On that new layer, use a very pale yellow, orange, pink (or if you want a cool blueish undertone use a slightly purplish light pink) to cover your base skintone with.Start with your base colour on a Normal layer. Here’s another really quick tutorial from me: This subject has been touched on a few times, but I figured I’d give my tips to digital artists out there. So, you’re planning on drawing characters with certain undertones but you sure don’t want to make some racist yellowface/redface mess.
